Do they take credit cards??
My sister told me that I would not find decent Mexican food in Tulsa. I now have evidence that she's wrong! This little hole-in-the-wall delivered on yummy Mexican food at a very reasonable price. I had the carnitas wet burrito; hubby had a two taco combo. Service was excellent. There was a steady stream of diners, so the word is out. Highly recommend.
MoreI love this place. Food is great. Service is fast and accurate. Excellent prices. This place is just a few yards from my Tulsa office, and I go for lunch all the time. Definitely make time to go here.
MoreGreat find! Food was good, and prices were reasonable (if not cheap). We'll definitely be back when we're in town.
MoreBEST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD IN ALL OF TULSA!! This is the spot not only the tourists love, but where the locals eat. Should you choose to join us, you will not be sorry. Enjoy!
MoreSmall gem of a restaurant. Very friendly and clean. Food was great! Reasonably priced.
MoreTasty tacos and great people! Can't wait to try a couple new menu items.
A quaint and wonderful Tulsa gem. The food, the service, and the staff are all wonderful! My partner and I eat here regularly. Try the vampiro tacos, you won't be disappointed!
MoreGreat food and great service. If you're looking for awesome Mexican food this is the place to go and the prices are very reasonable.
MoreSmall mom n pop type of mexican food. Even the burgers are delicious if you don't do Mexican cuisine
MoreGood food. Never late with order. Staff is awesome. love the grill Verde sandwich
MoreFood great, service even better, lots of people even police eating lunch. Topical hole in the wall...but a hole in the wall that I WILL visit again...try the shrimp salad. Gluten free , clean and fresh...perfect lunch item.
MoreBeen coming here since I can remember and it's always been delicious! Great service great staff through and through! We love Rio Verde ❤️ and i love seeing their pepper plants when I pull up to their restaurant.
MoreJust like everyone else is saying, the wet burrito is the best! Great place to eat in Tulsa!
MoreGreat food, the carnitas had great flavor, and the wet burrito was very good. Chips and salsa were good. Cheap authentic Mexican food, definitely worth a try
MoreNice family themed mexican restaurant. Good food and service. Laid back. Great for informal dates and.family outings
MoreFood and service were superb! The restaurant was a total surprise being in the middle of a neighborhood. We had the steak and carnita wet burritos and they were amazing. Don't skip the bowl of queso either, it was the best I've had. This will definitely become a regular stop.
MoreBest Mexican food in Tulsa. Wet burritos are awesome. Chimichangas are delicious. Helpful staff. Mexican soda. Want to go again now.
MoreFast service, good prices. Very authentic Mexican cuisine in the heart of Tulsa.
Top notch mexican food . The wet burrito is amazing. Actually all the food I have eaten here has been good.
MoreWe get large to go orders for work here all the time. They always get the orders correct and are very quick. Wonderful group of people. Always a treat!!!!!
MoreLocation made us weary of going here but when we pulled up people were standing outside in groups and lots of cars in the parking lot and along the street. Walked in thinking we were going to have to wait, but were seated immediately. Drinks came quickly and our orders taken. Food also arrived in a timely manner and tasted very good. Overall totally surprised! Will have to come back here when we return in a couple of weeks!!!
MoreWe followed the GPS to this place. It was good, good flavor and didn't take too long to get our order.
MoreA friend brought me here. We shared a serving of guacamole and I had the wet burrito. Both were fresh and flavorful. Service was fast and polite. Overall great meal at a killer price.
MoreGreat food. Never got their Liquor License back, just a heads up.
Tasty cheese enchiladas. Excellent iced tea. Colorful table cloth
Great value!Great food!Great service!I wish their food was spicier, too mild for my taste, that's why I always have to ask for a "Chile Toreado" to make my food spicy.
MoreHands down fork up this place is the BEST! Been eating here since after its' conception when the word Super appeared before Wet Burrito. The salsa and chips isn't much to talk about but get the Wet Burrito! I advise knocking out the lettuce inside as this baby is delivered hot. Two people can eat one with a tea for twenty bucks minus gratuity. Remember jems are found amongst the rubble. If you haven't consumed one you haven't lived, bucket list worthy.
MoreMy spinach enchiladas were great and very filling, and I also liked the chips and queso. It's a cute little place, and service was good. My only minor complaint is that the cleaning solution they use is very potent and not appetizing, but you do get used to it.
MoreThe guacamole was so amazing that I wish that I had gotten a bigger serving! Enchiladas were delicious! Will definitely come back!
MoreIt is a small, quaint and very clean restaurant. The food was excellent and looks exactly like the photos.
Moregood place, good atmosphere, great place. so...what are you waiting for?
This restaurant is owned by exceptional people! It is also one of the only places in Tulsa where you will see people in suits and ties, professional C-suite employees, and construction workers all having lunch under the same roof! I love going, everything they serve is exceptional, and you will be glad you went! 10/10 highly recommend.
MorePeople have recommended Rio Verde to us in the past, but we never went there until today. It's kind of hard to find (I had to Google it on a map), but when I got there I discovered it is very close to our house. It is small (you might have to call them in advance if you are planning to take a lot of people there at the same time), with the feel of an old Mexican cafe and very reasonable prices. The food was really, really good -- (alert: the queso is delicious but spicy!). Our waitress was pleasant and we received excellent service.Highly recommended!
MoreSalsa and nachos were really good. Ordered torta. It was more than enough for one person. Came with a nice juicy pickled jalapeno.
MoreTHIS IS NOT REAL MEXICAN FOOD They make u pay a dollar for garbage chips and salsa, chips are not salted and u have to buy the cheese separately, the salsa is water and like a couple spoon fulls of salsa, not only that they brought out half full bowls of it. There was no salt or pepper or seasoning on anything and I almost walked out without paying it was so bad.
MoreFood is always great here. Very crowded
El Rio Verde is a little overhyped. There’s better Mexican food in Tulsa, with the exception of maybe the steak torta, which is delicious.
MoreExcellent Mexican food. I eat here regularly. Food and service have always been top notch
MoreIf you want Mexican in Tulsa this place is where you need to go. Don't let the outside fool you you this place is an absolute pearl! Food is delicious and authentic and the service is above and beyond. Everyone agreed, great dinner choice.
MoreOur food was good, the service was good, nothing fancy. The prices are really reasonable. Three of us ate for less than $30, we all had water to drink. If we go again I will be trying something other than the wet burrito.
MoreI ate at Rio Verde many years ago, back then the menus were in Spanish. View of the staff spoke English. The food was amazing. The service was fantastical. The prices are better than any in Tulsa. And nothing has changed. I took my wife because I wanted to show her the best authentic Mexican food in Tulsa. I was not disappointed. We got there around 1:30. It was very busy as expected. And we set at the bar. My advice is sit at the bar.
MoreDon't let the facade of the place fool you. They make amazingly delicious food here. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. Prices are just right. I suggest you try the shrimp tacos.
MoreFood was excellent and decently priced. I especially liked the salsa... it had flavor not just heat.
MoreThe wet burrito with al pastor is definitely something to try as the meat is delicate and flavorful. It does get rather busy around lunch time and service becomes slower. Give their spicy sauce a try! The fried cheese (antojitos) was a bit much, but that is just me. Otherwise would definitely stop again.
MoreThe food was really good, I especially enjoyed the chicken quesadilla and the Carne Asada fries. I have heard a lot about other items on the menu and can't wait to try them out next time.
MoreBest Mexican food in town. Always fast, friendly, tasty and reasonable. Best authentic food around in Tulsa!! Took a co-worker for the first time and she loved it. I've been going since 2002!!
MoreThis place wasnt that good. The salsa was water down plus the food was very bland lacked taste not sure where the Mexican was in this food.
MoreFood was so good! Loved it! Would recommend stopping by.
One of our favorite Mexican places in town. Had chicken breakfast burritos today. So good!
MoreWe arrived at a little before 12 noon and the place was packed ... for a very good reason. We got lucky and caught a table for two within in a minute after walking in. Two wet burritos (one chicken and one beef). It is what made them famous for a reason. They were very good! We will soon be back to try more of the menu.
